Coco Illustrations

 I've always thought the dragons of D&D, while awesome(because when are dragons not awesome?), have really tame and boring designs. I decided to give redesigning them a shot, and I started with the Black Dragon, who by all accounts is both ill-fitting for it's environment and is type-casted as evil with the stereotypical "evil" edgy design. Here's my first pass at a redesign inked! I wanted it to not only not look angry all the time, but really feel like it fits in a swamp. Hippo teeth, babirusa tusks, crocodile plates, pleco fins, matamata flaps, and snapping turtle arms were all incorporated into this design. I hope it's an improvement!
